The optimum tether for gentle tethering
This tether has a very stable elastic band and is covered with a folded nylon. If a horse gets caught in the tether the nylon stops at a stretch of around 30% and retains its shape.
The elastic in the tether makes tying up the horse a little easier. If the horse moves (bites after a brake, etc.), the lead rope gives a little more than conventional ropes. If the horse gets caught in the lead rope (out of panic), the rope gives way to a certain extent and many horses react more calmly to non-rigid ropes. However, to prevent a ‘flummox effect’, we have built in an automatic stop through the folded nylon.
