Grüner Lehm als Granulat ist ein naturbelassener, getrockneter Lehm, der als Granulat dargeboten wird. Er ist reich an Mineralien und an Spurenelementen und kann bei Pferden in folgenden Situationen angewendet werden: Nach intensiven Trainingseinheiten, zur Vorbeugung von Schwellungen der Gelenke oder an den Gliedmaßen, zur oberflächlichen Therapie bei entzündeten Gelenken, zur Behandlung von Wunden.
Generell wird eine Behandlung 2 Mal täglich empfohlen. Die Anzahl der Behandlungen kann aber unproblematisch erhöht werden je nach Ausmaß der Schwellung. Als Behandlungsdauer werden 1 bis 2 Monate empfohlen. Leichte Bewegung während der Zeit der Behandlung ist im Allgemeinen unproblematisch möglich. Sehr gut hilft Grüner Lehm auch bei schlecht heilenden Wunden. Direkt auf die Wunde aufgetragen, sorgt er dafür, dass die Wunde besser heilt und sich die Wundoberfläche schließt. Auch dem Wuchern von „wildem Fleisch“ kann mit dem Einsatz von Grünem Lehm vorgebeugt werden. Vorteilhaft ist hierbei, dass er als Paste auch in schwer zugänglichen Bereichen wie z.B. unter dem Bauch oder beim Ellenbogen des Pferdes aufgetragen werden. Natürlicher Grüner Lehm hilft nicht nur den Pferden, sondern er kann auch unproblematisch von Menschen benutzt werden. Gebrauchsanleitung: Entnehmen Sie die gewünschte Menge Lehm und füllen Sie diese in ein Ton- oder Glasgefäß. Gießen Sie frisches Wasser hinzu, so dass der Lehm ca. 1 bis 1,5 cm bedeckt ist. Lassen Sie die Mischung jetzt für zwei Stunden ruhen. Nach der Ruhezeit rühren Sie die Paste glatt und tragen Sie diese 1 bis 2 cm dick auf den betroffenen und zu behandelnden Bereich auf. Lassen Sie den Lehm für ca. 2 Stunden aufgetragen, danach mit lauwarmen Wasser wieder abnehmen. Am Einfachsten lässt sich der Lehm entfernen, wenn er noch nicht ganz getrocknet ist.
